The high-rise boardroom of Moretti Enterprises overlooked the fog-draped skyline of Manhattan. Fifteen of the world's most powerful board members sat around the polished glass table, listening to Dominic Moretti’s passionate speech.

"My brother Adrian has lost his grip!" Dominic shouted, pacing at the head of the table. "He spends millions on fraudulent therapies while letting housekeepers walk away with priceless family heirlooms! He is unfit to lead this board!"

The oak double doors swung open with a deafening bang.

I walked into the room, flanked by Marco and four armed security personnel. Behind me walked Elena, holding a pristine black leather binder.

Dominic’s speech died in his throat. "Adrian? What is the meaning of this intrusion?"

"The board meeting hasn't started yet, Dominic," I said smoothly, taking my seat at the head of the table. "Because the chairman hasn't taken his seat."

"You have no authority here today!" Dominic sneered. "Mother signed an affidavit detailing the security breach at the mansion!"

"You mean this security breach?" I pressed a button on the conference remote.

The large projection screens instantly displayed the video of Victoria planting the necklace, followed by audio recordings Marco’s team had intercepted late last night:

Dominic's voice: "Did you plant the necklace in the maid's coat?"

Victoria's voice: "It's done. But Adrian is acting strange. He looked at her like she was a saint."

Dominic's voice: "It doesn't matter. Once the maid is arrested, we leaked the story to the press. Adrian's stock will plunge, and the board will have no choice but to vote me in."

The room erupted into gasps. Board members stared at Dominic with disgust.
