Chapter 10 - The New Order

Three minutes later, Dominic's tactical squad detonated explosive charges on the outer hinges of the server room door. The steel doors blew inward with a deafening roar.
As the smoke cleared, Arthur Reed’s guards charged forward—only to hit the water-drenched floor. Naomi flipped the manual breaker switch.
10,000 volts of electricity surged through the wet floorboards, instantly incapacitating six armed guards in a flashing arc of blue lightning.
Dominic moved through the blinding smoke like a ghost, taking down the remaining guards with lethal efficiency. Arthur Reed tried to run, but Dominic caught him by the collar and threw him down onto the marble floor at Naomi’s feet.
Dr. Patterson scrambled backward, trembling violently as Naomi stepped toward him.
"Naomi... please!" Patterson sobbed. "I had no choice! They threatened my family!"
Naomi looked down at the man who had ordered her sister's murder. She didn't raise a gun. She didn't strike him. Instead, she knelt beside him, pulled out her phone, and displayed the live broadcast currently streaming across every major news network in the country.
The stolen Apex files—detailing every bribe, every murder, every human trafficking operation, and every falsified medical record—were being published live to the Department of Justice and global media outlets.
"Your career is over, Howard," Naomi said softly, her voice ice-cold. "Your license is revoked. Your freedom is gone. You are going to spend the rest of your life in a maximum-security cell, knowing that the nurse you looked down on was the one who destroyed you."
Sirens echoed in the distance as federal agents—alerted by the leaked files—surrounded the hotel.
Arthur Reed and Dr. Patterson were dragged away in handcuffs, their names ruined, their lives shattered forever. Marcus Reed was taken into federal custody directly from his hospital bed.
Two weeks later.
The ocean breeze blew gently across the terrace of a sprawling villa overlooking the coast.
Naomi stood by the stone railing, watching the sunrise. The Nurse's Notebook lay open on a small table beside her. Every single name on the list had been crossed out in thick red ink.
A pair of warm hands rested gently on her shoulders. Dominic stepped up behind her, his chest warm against her back. His wounds had healed, leaving only faint silver scars.
"It’s over," Dominic whispered into her hair. "Apex Holdings is dismantled. Elise Harper is safe in New Zealand with a new identity. And your sister finally has justice."
Naomi turned around in his arms, looking up into the dark eyes of the man who had risked his empire to stand beside her.
"The old list is finished," Naomi said softly.
Dominic raised an eyebrow, a faint, dangerous smile playing on his lips. "And?"
Naomi reached into her pocket and pulled out a brand-new, leather-bound book. She opened the first page.
"There are other hospitals," Naomi said, her voice filled with quiet strength. "Other cities. Other powerful men who think they can hurt the helpless and buy their way out of the dark."

Dominic wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close as the sun flooded the horizon with gold.
"Then let's give them a doctor's call," Dominic murmured. "The Don and the Nurse have a lot of work to do."
