Chapter 7 - The Master Stroke

At 8:30 AM, the press auditorium at Moretti Tower was standing-room only. Cameras flashed relentlessly as I stepped up to the podium.

Instead of reading a prepared corporate statement, I pressed a button on the remote in my hand.

The giant screens behind me broadcasted two things simultaneously:

The unedited security footage of Isabella assaulting Sophia and plotting murder.

The complete financial audit showing Julian’s embezzlement scheme, accompanied by sworn affidavits from federal investigators.

The room erupted into absolute madness. Reporters were shouting, cameras flashing like lighting strikes.

"Ladies and gentlemen," I spoke into the microphone, my voice echoing with absolute authority across the room. "For the past twenty-four hours, rumors have circulated regarding my personal life and the stability of Moretti Enterprises."

I paused, looking directly into the primary network camera.

"The wedding was canceled not because of a tragedy, but because justice was delivered. The individuals responsible for grand larceny, attempted extortion, and conspiracy to commit murder—Julian Moretti and Isabella Vance—are currently in federal custody."

I leaned closer to the mic.

"And to those silent investors who backed Julian's coup: I have your names, I have your bank accounts, and my legal team is filing asset freeze injunctions as we speak. If you attempt to short Moretti stock today, you will be bankrupt by tomorrow."

Within ten minutes of the broadcast, Moretti stock didn't crash—it surged by 18%, reaching an all-time high as Wall Street applauded the ruthless, transparent purge of internal corruption.
